Get You Hip Network is a multimedia website that will allow users to input topics of interest, and receive the newest information about those specific topics. It will allow the user to gain information based on what they want to see. There will be a general blog consisting of the newest trends and topics, but for the most part the information shown to the user is directly correlated with the information that is given to the network. Users will be able to join the network by creating an account, allowing them to create profiles, interact with other users, and share opinions about the information given to them by the network.
Get You Hip Network will have a very interactive interface, allowing users to create topics they wish to be informed about and add them to a melting pot. The melting pot will then return information in any form of media (videos, blogs, twitter posts, etc.) that reflect the topics that the user entered. If the user does not wish to create their own searches they can also just view the topics viewed by other members on the network or check the most viewed topics for a certain region within the world. Get You Hip Network will work to provide users with the ability to link their accounts with other services such as Twitter, Facebook, and Klout so that information can be suggested to the user based on their preferences and interests.

You should see if there is a way to bring in services like quora. I am a bit confused about the service though. Is it a community run blog based on different topics? Is it more syndicated content like alltop or is it a social network with information streaming to the participants?
ReplyDeleteSorry for not making it more clear, it is a social network that finds information the users want in any form of media. It allows the user to search for the newest information about the topics they choose and tells them about related searches, searches their friends or coworkers have done, and suggests new topics the next time the network is used. I have recently learned about quora's services and I think they do tie in with the objective of this network.

I also really like how the network is specific to each individual and how you can input a topic of your choice.
ReplyDeleteSo basically it is Google for a younger and "hipper" generation? I think it is a good idea since it will allow our generation which is technology oriented to share new trends with the world. With our attention span decreasing as more things are being invented this will update us on the rapidly changing world.
ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting idea. Taking many popular things or searches and combing them all on one website. Like how facebook suggest friends or things you might "like", this would suggest numerous things you may be interested in reading or viewing based off previous visits? This idea has many possibilities and directions you can take it!
